Andrew Brooks Photography

For a while I have been working on a set of images which involve patch working many smaller pictures together to build one large print.

It seems to be a good way for getting a feel for how colours and textures work together and is quite a different type of composition from my stills photography work.

Here's links to a few I have tried out stacks and this one created from 100's of the best stills from a music video I made for the song 'Asleep at the Wheel' by Manchester band 'Working for a Nuclear Free City' which you can see here. I enjoyed working on the Nuclear Free City image as it felt interesting turning a project from something which works chronologically on a time line(where the order in time gave the images their impact)to the patch work, where the order and position in 2D space gives the images there strength.

Whilst working on the Working for a Nuclear Free City patchwork, I had a quick thought that it would make a really good but slightly hard Jigsaw, after some research I found a company which turns pictures into Jigsaws. Then my Mum spent around 5 weeks putting it together, working from 5 in the morning to get as much daylight as possible, and here are the results of this project. Thanks for your help mum.
