Hi, I'm a Manchester Uk based photographer, film maker and digital artist, visit my website by clicking here to have a look at my work.
I'd like this forum to be a way people can talk to me about my work and give feedback, and also if anyone has any questions about how I work with imagery I will be happy to help out and answer them. And I intend the Blog to show some work in progress and also shots which have not made it onto my main galleries.
Thanks for taking a look and hope the forum and blog are helpful to you.
Hi
I went to see your exhibition yesterday, just cos we were taking a city break in Manchester and we like to see a gallery of some sort when we stay .. and yours caught our eye. Which turned out to be a great thing ..
We were entranced and enchanted by your work. We don't live there, but feel that we know the city quite well, so the aspect of seing new angles was interesting in itself, but it was also intriguing to learn something about another culture of 'explorers' and get some hint of the technical problems shooting in those environments must provide. In fact I would like to know more about that side of it, since you say you will talk about it in the blog, I will read with that in mind.
More that that, though, we loved the images themselves. Above all, the colours and compositions you create are strking and suggest a reverence for your subject matter which transmits to your audience. We looked for a comments book and since there wasn't one, I've come here to tell you that we loved your work.
Hi Susan,
Thanks for getting it touch, and really glad you enjoyed the URBIS shot, f you have any questions about my work let me know and I will do my best to answer.
Hi, visited Manchester on Saturday and just want to say thanks, really enjoyed your exhibition. Lovely to see a different perspective from the norm. As an engineer I found these so interesting. Your use of lighting and colour really brought such life out from normally forgotten and hidden views. I'm afraid my words do not do justice to your photos. Please continue, I really look forward to seeing more. Vicki
Hi Andrew,
I have only just come across your work when I saw your exhibition "Hidden Manchester" at Urbis last month. I thought it was amazing, particularly the use of imagery and the lighting you have used. How did you find out about all those places and how did you get permission to visit them? I am an A level photography & fine art student and I have been really inspired by your work both at Urbis and on your website. I would appreciate your help in explaining how you work with imagery and any tips you can give me to be successful taking my own photographs/fine art drawings. I have almost finished for Summer now. Is there any chance to meet you in person to talk about your work? Would you accept a student for a few days on a kind of placement in the Summer holidays to help me improve my use of imagery and lighting in my own work? I find your work truly awesome and am so inspired by it. You are going to be my main photographer in my A2 work and it would be so cool to be able to meet you too. Thanks, Helen
I saw you URBIS exhibit a few months back and really liked it. So much so i have chosen you as my focus photographer for my A2 Project in photography. I was jsut wondering if you have any books at all or any other resources i could get hold of to use in my project.
